The ceremony for the CFDA Fashion Awards occured Monday night in New York City.  The big winners of the night were Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein for Womenswear Designer of the Year, Tom Ford for Menswear Designer of the Year, and Tory Burch for Accessories Designer of the Year.   Emerging Talent Awards were presented to the designers of Rodarte and Band of Outsiders for womenswear and menswear, respectively.  Rodarte’s been having a pretty huge following these days, but it’s still great to see them be recognized as gifted designers.  I do think it’s a little weird, though, that they chose Mandy Moore as their “date”/red carpet model — the dress she chose was kind of boring, too. I saw photos of model Kasia Struss at the event wearing a Rodarte dress that was way more gorgeous and eye-catching (see below).  The photos below feature some of my favorite outfits of the night (courtesy of style.com).
