At this week’s Louis Vuitton show, Marc Jacobs delivered looks that were similar to those of his own F/W 2008 line, which showed in New York. The pastel robe/jacket that he seems to be fond of were on again on full display, but this time, thankfully, some of them appeared to be better fitting and not so lumpy. I liked the shoes, and there were some evening dresses at the end that definitely deserve attention. What I was hoping for, though, was for him to stray a little further from his own line’s look. Also, I’m not a huge fan of the those fleece-like fabrics he’s using, and I think I have seen other designers during the Fall/Winter shows that are experimenting with volume and shape in much more flattering and interesting ways.
